Nice beach shack nestled up in the trees. Good views in a nice quiet spot.
Great little beach shack. Minimal privacy between the three bed rooms as they are separated by a rattan type sheeting and curtains for doors. However the small dining/kitchen/lounge area is a nice little family space. The supplied BBQ was a good size for cooking all our meals.
Loved it! Such a unique and quirky holiday stay. The location was fantastic, close to the local pub and a great cafe, and so relaxing with ocean views and tropical vibes.
Great location, close to the marina, places to eat and drink and the beach. The accommodation is basic and clean and has all you need for a pleasant stay. We are an older couple and found the driveway and front stairs a bit of a challenge.
Great house for glamping in Value for money Great access to beach
What a wonderful little place. So rustic and unique - perfect for a stay at beautiful Seventeen Seventy. Rooms were all clean and everything you need is provided. As described, the treehouse allows you to be at one with nature and it was so nice to listen to the birds. We used the mosquito net to sleep as I’m prone to bites, but it wasn’t necessary. The fans kept the place cool even on 34° days. Location is fantastic - not even a 5 minute walk to the beach or the marina. 5 minute drive to the lookouts (or walk along the esplanade). 7 minute drive to Agnes where the shops and cafes etc are. The sunset from the beach at Seventeen Seventy and the sunrise from Bustard Bay lookout are a must. We can’t wait to go back.
Idealistic chilled location as described.
Gorgeous rustic beach house with a stunning view of the estuary, especially at sunset! It is the perfect place to wind down after a day of adventure. It has good air flow with plenty of windows and doors to open, as well as fans. Lots of kitchen space and utensils, so cooking was a breeze. It’s a very short walk down to the water and restaurant, we loved the convenience. Good quality fixtures in the bathroom, always hot water and good pressure! The space is very open which was fine for a group of friends :) We loved watching the birds come and snack on flowers in the surrounding trees, it really felt like we were in a paradise treehouse! Driveway is steep but there’s plenty of room to park and turn around. It’s about a ten minute drive to Agnes which has the Foodworks, petrol station, beach, and other restaurants. Great value stay and we will be coming back for sure!
We enjoyed our trip. Nice and close to the beach, driveway very steep. Nice treehouse vibes
The house is clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful week there. It's close to the beach and the pub for a meal. Chrissy was a wonderful host. We even had a visit from a tawny frog mouth owl 2 nights in a row in a tree next to the house.
Great spot close to the beach. Relaxed place to stay
Great spot for anyone vising 1770!
A quirky rustic house with the feeling of being amongst the trees. Very quiet apart from the birds around. We loved staying there. The kitchen is well equipped and for a couple maybe with kids it is great to stay there. The bedrooms have no proper walls or doors, so sharing with another couple means not much privacy. We would book it again as the location is great. One yhing to mention, Agnes and 1770 has no TPG coverage, we were very grateful for the host to leave a prepaid mobile stick for us, to use wifi. The tour operator tried unsuccessfully contacting us.
amazing view from the hill, very chilled atmosphere in this rustic cabin, great location, walking distance to beautiful beaches of 1770
A quaint spot in the heart of 1770 with everything you need for a getaway to this magnificent spot. Quiet and private with some view of the bay around the beautiful trees on the property.
Amazing host, Very nice position the place is very clean :)
Thank you for a lovely stay Chrissy.this property is the perfect place for a little relaxed getaway, it is in a great location and the view was spectacular
This place is super cute with a beautiful view, private, quiet and feels very comfortable. It’s basic but the price reflects that. I would highly recommend booking here over one of the resorts if you’re ok with more dated accommodation.
We enjoyed our stay in the tree house. Fantastic location in 1770. We'll equipped and interesting architecture. Easy check-in.
Nice place in great location - we enjoyed our stay
Worth staying here for a relaxing well located position. A relaxing and unique hideaway.
great shack in the middle of 1770
A great location and plenty of room. The tree house is definitely rustic and the bedrooms have only screens not proper walls- so there is little privacy. Glamping is an accurate description. In spite of this surprise I still loved it. Very well equiped kitchen. It really did feel like being amongst the trees. Definitely a step back in time, but wth great character and atmosphere. We felt the double bed mattresses are getting tired but rooms and linen were neat and clean. I would take this over a camp ground any time.
Great location, lovely view. Old style charm. This high set home is exactly as described. The beds were comfy, the kitchen fully kitted out and there's plenty of room for a couple or small family to spread out. And the view is glorious - feels like you're out in nature.
Rustic, clean , great spot, nice ambiance, have plenty of Mosquito coils with you in case they are about😊
1950's feel but a few mod cons. Really enjoyed our stay
Suited our needs, nice location. Shame that WiFi is an additional cost.
Very cosy and cool high up in the trees, and so close to the town of 1770 and beautiful beaches and nature walks.
Such a beautiful treehouse overlooking the bay of 1770. We had a wonderful relaxing few days in the trees, the house is really playful and a step back in time to a simpler life. Loved it.
Character, great views and location!
This is the cutest treehouse with everything you need. Really clean and just so cute and rustic. With views of the ocean and very short stroll to the beach you need look no further.
A great simple and rustic place! A bit rough, but we will stay again hopefully. Close to everything 1770 offers.
Chrissy's place was fabulous. It is exactly as explained on Airbnb. To be honest we found it to be much better. The kitchen utensils, frypans etc are all really great quality with heaps and heaps of crockery and cutlery. Yes it is open to the elements and it is quite steep getting your stuff up the stairs. However the view is amazing and the bed is comfortable. This place has everything you could need (including a great shower). Even the it is rustic it is done so well. It is tasteful, stylish and very homely. We went for the Agnes Blues festival. It was a 1.8 km walk which was fine for us as we like a walk. If not though the courtesy bus stops on the main road at the bottom of the hill. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you
Great charming house with character in prime tranquil location nestled amongst trees with water glimpses. A space to turn off and be connected with nature. Easy quick walk down to water to go swimming at beach, paddle a SUP or hire a tinnie and eat some awesome fish and chips with a nice vibe at the marina.
In a town full of emerging modern mansions this is a step back in time to the old school simplicity of the quirky beach shack. It has all the basics and some. Full of quirky charm smack bang on the middle of 1770. We loved our stay here!!!! Don’t change a thing!!
A stunning spot very close to the beach. It' s a rustic beach cabin somewhat open to the elements and internally quite open so long as you know this it works fine. We all loved our holiday and would recommend to stay here.
Chrissy's place was exactly as per her listing, a beautiful, earthy, comfy tree home. It was so close to the ocean and nature, it was quiet and serene, and plenty of space including the boat. Chrissy provided us with easy to understand instructions for our arrival and her communication was excellent throughout our stay. Highly recommend and definitely keen to book again!
Loved the tree house! A great place to stay and go exploring.
The place was beautiful. Centrally located. Perfect house for relaxing in and being so close to everything, could just walk to and from. The balcony is great too, looking out and being surroubded by nature.
Chilled out tree house with beautiful tree and sea views. Rustic, charming and comes with everything needed for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Excellent communication with host. Highly recommended.
Great cabin in the trees. Exactly as described. Will be back!
Excellent location, easy to walk everywhere. Treehouse is very well equipped with everything you would need. House is a true 'tree house' experience, as the walls are not sealed to the outside so expect bugs ect. Internally house doesn't have bedroom doors and the walls between all rooms except the bathroom are see though and 100% of noise goes through. So not ideal if travelling with kids or a noisy snorer. Beds were very firm but very comfy!
Perfect place to stay in 1770. A basic treehouse exposed to some of the elements which made it more unique. Well equipped kitchen which we made use of as not too much choice for eating out. A short stroll to the swimming beach, and lots of walking tracks. We took our bikes as it is easy to cycle around too. Beds were comfy, and we were warm enough.
Rustic, unique, private, hand built home well situated within 1770. It has a very steep driveway.
1770 Tree house was a great place to stay for 3 of us. Close to everything and affordable. Really enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the stars at night.
This place was a dream! One of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Was quiet, cosy, warm and in the perfect location. No wifi or reception though - something to keep in mind. In our case, this was a welcome feature of the treehouse. Would absolutely recommend!
Amazing place and Chrissy was the best to deal with. Would book again and again!
A great spot in 1770 to call home. It has all the basics and that's all we needed. I would recommend a small family or a group of friends. Friendly neighbors.
Great location and plenty of room with a good lounge, kitchen/dining and bathroom. Chrissy was very accomodating and made checking in and out very easy, thank you for your consideration! Unfortunately there are not proper walls between the bedrooms, so if you are a light sleeper it may be difficult as you are basically sleeping in the same room sound wise. It is also a little cold in winter, but sure this is not an issue most of the time. The place was decorated nicely and had a homely feel to it. Thanks again Chrissy.
